~ How Many Days? ~
OMG! It’s 7 isn’t it? Not 9!!! Don’t panic, don’t panic… er… sorry… I am! I’ve just got back from Heathrow Airport, having dropped off some of our team support crew, ie: the wife and grommet, who are winging their way back to the land of Oz as I type this. I’m running through my check list in my head on the drive back, of all the things I’ve got to still do before we cross the Channel Friday morning. Then it hits me. Rigs? Rigs… I haven’t made any rigs! No problem, I’ve still got a couple of days to whizz a few up. Sorry, no size 2 hooks… someone forgot to order some size 2 hooks (that’d be me)! No problem, I’ll get some tomorrow. Oh yeah… it’s a bank holiday Monday tomorrow numb nuts, I don’t think so!!!
Yeah, yeah, yeah, a proper panic on now! Rummage, rummage, rummage (through all the borrowed end gear), and YEEESSSSS! Score! I found a solitary packet of Fox Specialist size 2 hooks at the bottom of a bucket (where else?), and I’m in business. Oh well, at least I can tie a handful of rigs to get me started! What a plonker though, I’ve spent thousands of dollars to get here, and thousands more on tackle, car hire, insurance etc, blah, blah. And then I forget the most important thing at the pointy end of it all!!! There is certainly some irony in that I think? Am I organised? Yeah, of course I am!!!
